About the Author

Neri Lopez is a two-time Global Book Awards winner, celebrated for her Romance–Action & Adventure novel Red Path and her Romance–Suspense novel Deputy Sean.

Her stories blend emotional depth, high-stakes suspense, and heartfelt romance, often rooted in cultural history (the Path Series) and character-driven drama.

A lifelong creative, she has been a stay-at-home mom to triplets, a graphic designer, and a high school teacher of Spanish, 2D Art, and Digital Design. She now writes from her home in Florida, where her two rescued cats—Salem and Sabrina—dutifully assist by walking across her keyboard at crucial moments.

When she’s not crafting suspense-driven stories, she’s crafting in the literal sense: crocheting, knitting, designing jewelry, sewing, scrapbooking, and painting. Her handmade crochet pieces often make their way to local craft shows.

Neri is also the owner of Siren Book & Craft, a name that nods to both her love of myth and her own full name, Nereida, meaning “Greek mermaids” and forming “siren” when her nickname is spelled in reverse (plus an ‘s’).

She began writing The Path Series over thirty years ago. After taking time away to raise her triplets, she returned to the world she’d created, inspired by her respect for the Oglala Lakota people and culture.
